    overall development vision of Kunshan Development Zone in the future are: adhere to the guide of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the "Three Represents"; firmly establish and comprehensively implement the scientific development concept; enhance our capability for independent innovation and change the mode of economic growth based on the lines of “main three, two dedication, one promotion” of state-level development zones to achieve economic output of equal to that made in the past 20 years by using 1/4 time and resources of the same time; double the income of ordinary people; make Kunshan Development Zone a multifunctional integrated industrial zone with economic prosperity, advanced technology, industrial concentration, improved function, beautiful environment, social harmony and welfare for the people.
